ban.do

Collection & product copy explorations around cheeky vintage, cinematic moments, and cozy ways to connect and play.

CHALLENGE

The long-time joy and encouragement spreaders at ban.do were looking to put words to their four FW25 collections. With matcha poured and moodboards ready, ban.do now needed product & collection copy to bring a fresh curation of travel, desk, and wellness goods to life.

APPROACH & SOLUTION

Enter: Ecstatic Voice and me! This was my first ban.do rodeo, but it was hardly EV’s. Cate Scott Campbell, Ecstatic Voice founder and Consulting Head of Copy for ban.do, graciously led the charge to verbalize the spirit of each collection.

While the original collection concepts shapeshifted before hitting shelves, Ecstatic Voice and I helped lay the groundwork for inspiring connection and recreation across products. Cate established an overarching style & tone: soft sophistication, professional whimsy, and cheeky vintage. From there, we got to playing.

EDITORIAL DIRECTION & LEAD COPY

Ecstatic Voice

Time spent at familiar and emerging “playgrounds” helped us infuse nostalgic energy into current, everyday expressions. Ones that mirrored how we’re working & unwinding now—or how we want to be. Cate & I curated words and vibes that romanticize all sorts of adventures and capture both lighthearted busyness and cozy, slower moments.

Nostalgic copy that’s as fun to say as it is to carry around.

Mwah from moi.

Ah to be mild & free.

Booked and breezy.

A few favorite phrases from the cutting-room floor. What’s in: unbothered bliss.
